Throughout the course students will be taught to relate their newfound understanding of Geology to interpreting the world around them. Topics to be discussed include volcanic hazards, earthquakes, flooding, landslides, desertification and glaciation, global warming, groundwater issues, soil erosion, resource geology, fossil fuels, renewable energy sources, waste management, pollution and environmental law.
