Credit Weight: 1.0 Prerequisite(s): Two FCEs in History or permission of the instructor Description: This course provides an historical survey examining the social, political, economic, and religious positions of European women from the Medieval period to the Twentieth century. The relationship between definitions of women’s ‘nature’ and the diverse lived experiences of women is explored through such themes as sexuality, family structures, labour, revolutionary movements, and women’s role in European imperialism.
