Credit Weight: 1.0 Prerequisite(s): 5 FCEs in History and at least a 70% average in History courses, or permission of the instructor Description: A seminar course that will examine various seminal topics in post-1939 Canada, including such things as the effect of the Second World War on the development of Canada, French-English and Canadian-American relations, Aboriginal issues, the establishment of the welfare state and the assertion of Canada’s international presence. This course will allow the student to gain a better understanding of how modern Canada has developed, and why it followed the course it did. Offering: 3-0; 3-0
