Credit Weight: 0.5 Description: Structure, classification and biology of fungi and importance to human society and to the natural ecosystem. Emphasis will be placed on factors influencing ecological success of fungi. Examination of lifestyles exhibited by fungi and their interactions with other organisms. Laboratory exercises give students hands-on experience in the isolation, cultivation and identification of moulds and other fungi from various natural substrates.
