Credit Weight: 0.5 Description: Forest management is increasingly being seen as a form of land development that should be subjected to both informal and formal environmental impact assessment. This course introduces both the theory and practice of environmental assessment, focussing on federal and provincial processes for environmental assessment, scientific and planning tools for undertaking assessments, and appropriate roles for the various stakeholders and groups interested in the environmental effects of forest-management activities.
