Credit Weight: 0.5 Prerequisite(s): Outdoor Recreation 2210, 2750 and 2810 Description: Examines theoretical and practical applications of ecological literacy as it pertains to promoting sustainable land/water practices within the outdoor recreation, parks, and tourism professions. Fieldwork enables direct study of the local bioregion with particular emphasis on cultural dimensions, ecological processes, ecological indicators, wildlife viewing opportunities, and safety gained through place-based awareness.
