Credit Weight: 0.5 Prerequisite(s): Psychology 3001 Description: An in-depth overview of the different therapeutic modalities that will be useful for students who are considering graduate studies in clinical psychology. Topics to be covered include an overview of the history of clinical psychology, professional training requirements and career opportunities for clinical psychologists, evidence-based practices, and a critical examination of the cognitive and behavioural modalities of psychotherapeutic techniques. The theoretical framework and application of each modality will be discussed. Offering: 3-0; or 3-0 Notes: Students who have previous credit in Psychology 4020 may not take Psychology 4032 for credit.
