Credit Weight: 0.5 Prerequisite(s): Business 3253 Description: A comprehensive introduction to current theories and practices for the implementation and administration of client/server environments with particular attention given to server-side operations. Emphasis is placed on the actual installation, configuration, optimization and performance monitoring of popular server software to ensure the secure exchange of data and the sharing of networked resources. Course participants will be expected to understand the current trends and developments in local area network design and to demonstrate their practical skills by configuring various component elements in a series of practical projects and assignments.
